Community Guidelines

An adults-only site is not a no-rules site. These apply wherever you show up on camsoda.chat: on camera, in your profile and in messages.

On camera

During a call

You are talking to a real person who agreed to a conversation, not to anything else. Treat them the way you would want a stranger to treat you.

  • No explicit material. Showing or posting explicit, violent, terror-related or bloody content is strictly prohibited. "Adults only" describes who may use the site, not what may be shown.
  • No insulting, discriminating against or attacking anyone, as a person or as part of a group.
  • No screenshots or screen captures of the other person without their consent.

Not enjoying the call? Press Next. Nobody owes anyone an explanation for leaving.

Your profile

Avatar, photos and nickname

None of the following belongs in your avatar or your photo and video album:

  • pornography
  • sensitive body parts
  • sexual acts
  • sexual innuendo
  • nudity
  • minors
  • blood or gore
  • smoking
  • alcohol
  • drugs
  • weapons
  • discrimination or racism
  • insults aimed at others
  • advertising
  • contact details
  • names or links of other apps

Nicknames follow the same list, and add two more: no vulgar emojis, and no rumours.

If you are asked to complete face authentication, the video has to be of you, in decent light, with nothing covering your face, and your avatar, photos and that video must all show the same person. Otherwise it won't be approved.

Messages

In chat

Keep other people's personal information to yourself. Posting someone's details without their consent is not allowed, and the same goes for spreading false advertising, scams or misleading promotions. Links to other apps or services, and requests to pay off-platform, are treated as spam.

Not negotiable

Minors and the law

Your behaviour has to comply with the law where you are, above all, the laws protecting minors. Anything that harms or exploits a minor is dealt with as seriously as the service allows. The child safety page explains what to do if you think you have met someone under 18.

Consequences

What happens when the rules are broken

The response depends on how serious the breach is and how often it happens:

  1. A warning: usually for a first or minor problem.
  2. Temporary limits on what your account can do, for repeated or moderate breaches.
  3. A permanent ban for severe or repeated serious violations.

Content can be removed at any stage. We decide which response fits the situation.

Reporting

Seeing something wrong

Report it. Report and block are on the other person's profile page, not inside the call window, open their profile and you'll find both. Reports are reviewed and acted on.

For anything the in-app tools don't cover, email the address at the bottom of this page with what happened, roughly when, and the person's display name if you have it.
