Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files your browser keeps for a website. camsoda.chat uses three kinds, plus a little local browser storage. Analytics only runs if you say yes. Here is each one and how to change your mind.

Three kinds

What we use, and why

Essential

Keep you signed in, including the guest session created when you arrive, keep the connection secure, and hold the session together while you move between pages.

If you block them: The site will not work properly. Calls and your wallet depend on them.

Performance and analytics

Count visits and show us, in aggregated form, which pages people read and where they came from. We use Google Analytics 4 for this. These cookies are off until you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner.

If you block them: Nothing breaks. Saying no in the banner is the same as blocking them.

Functional

Remember choices like language and display preferences so you don't set them again on every visit.

If you block them: The site works, but forgets your preferences.

Your choice

The cookie banner

On your first visit a banner at the bottom of the screen asks about analytics. Until you answer, and if you pick Reject analytics, Google Analytics sets no cookies and sends us nothing that identifies your browser. Pick Allow analytics and it starts counting your visits from then on.

Your answer is saved in your browser, so the banner does not come back on that device. How long Google keeps analytics data depends on the Google Analytics settings for this site, and Google's own handling is described in its privacy policy.

Changing your mind

Use the button below to clear your answer and bring the banner back. Clearing your browser's site data does the same.

Not cookies, but close

Local storage on your device

When you confirm you are 18 or older, your browser stores that answer locally so you aren't asked again on the same device. Your cookie banner answer is kept the same way. Clearing your browser data removes both, and you will be asked again.

Other companies

Third-party services

Sign-in, payments, analytics, content delivery and support tools come from outside providers, and some of them set their own cookies. Those follow the providers' own policies. Analytics partners may share aggregated or anonymised data with us; the Privacy Policy explains how that information is used.

You're in control

Blocking or clearing cookies

Every major browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, usually under Settings, then Privacy. Your browser's help pages have the exact steps. Blocking analytics or functional cookies is fine. Block essential ones and parts of camsoda.chat stop working, including calls.
