Terms of Service

Using camsoda.chat means agreeing to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you don't agree, the right move is to stop using the site.

The basics

What this agreement covers

These terms apply to everything on camsoda.chat: the website on desktop and mobile, the public pages, messaging, random video matching, calls, the wallet and any purchase you make. Some features may carry extra rules of their own, shown where you use them.

camsoda.chat is an independent site. It has no connection to CamSoda, and nothing here should be read as an offer of CamSoda's services.

We may revise these terms. When the change is material, the date at the top moves and notice appears on the site or through another suitable channel. Keep using the service after that and you have accepted the new version.

Your promises

Age, accounts and honesty

You must be 18 or older, or older still, if your country sets a higher minimum, and legally allowed to use a service like this where you are. Before your first call on a device you are asked to confirm you are an adult. Answering untruthfully breaks these terms.

You can start as a guest. Whatever you do give us, during sign-up, verification or a purchase, has to be accurate and kept up to date. Your login details are your responsibility, and so is everything that happens under your account.

  • No accounts built on false, misleading or stolen information.
  • No selling, renting, transferring or sharing an account without our permission.
  • No getting around security checks, rate limits or access controls.
  • Suspect someone else is in your account? Tell us straight away.

Our side

What the service is

The core of camsoda.chat is a 1v1 video call with a stranger: both of you on camera, one person at a time, with a Next button to move on. Around that sit text messages, public profiles and account tools.

Features can be added, changed, restricted, paused or retired for legal, operational, product, security or business reasons, and we do not promise any particular one will always be there. We don't guarantee who you will be matched with, whether someone replies, or how good a call's connection will be.

Your display name, avatar, public profile, and any videos, photos or comments you publish may be visible to other users or the public. Publicly posted content can be viewed, shared, cached and indexed, and deleting it does not guarantee it vanishes from search results or third-party copies straight away.

The line

Things you agree not to do

  • Share anything unlawful, infringing, fraudulent or misleading.
  • Show or post explicit material: the Community Guidelines spell this out.
  • Post sexualised content involving minors, exploitative content, violent threats or hate speech. Zero tolerance.
  • Stalk, threaten, extort, harass or scam anyone, push malicious links, or pressure people into unsafe or forbidden things.
  • Screenshot or screen-capture another person's video without their consent.
  • Pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about your link to any person or brand.
  • Use bots, scripts, scraping, reverse engineering or other technical tricks against the service.
  • Run scams, spam, off-platform payment schemes or other abusive commercial activity.

You decide how far a conversation goes and what you tell a stranger. If someone behaves badly, block them and report them: both are on the other person's profile page.

Money

Coins, calls and refunds

Calls are free to start. After that, video matching is charged in coins per minute, and the rate is shown before anything is charged. Coins, VIP benefits, gifts and other digital items are sold on the purchase and wallet pages, which show the price, what you get and any conditions.

  • Payments are handled by third-party providers under their own terms and privacy practices; we don't necessarily store full card details.
  • Coins and other virtual items have no cash value, unless the law says otherwise.
  • Digital goods you have bought, and services already used, are generally not refundable, except where the law requires it or a product's own rules say so.
  • Fraud, chargebacks, payment abuse or suspected unauthorised use can lead to cancelled orders, limits, review or suspension.

Ownership

Content and intellectual property

The software, design, branding and other protected parts of camsoda.chat belong to us or our licensors. Don't copy, redistribute, scrape or reverse engineer them.

Content you create lawfully stays yours. By uploading it you give us the permissions reasonably needed to host, display, process, moderate, store and distribute it as part of running the service. Upload only what you have the right to use; if it infringes someone else's rights, the consequences fall on you. Rights holders can use the copyright page.

Enforcement

When we step in

We may look into suspected breaches of these terms, our safety and payment rules, the community standards or the law, and act where that is reasonably needed to protect the service, its users, partners or the public. That can mean removing or hiding content, issuing a warning, limiting messaging, matching or purchases, freezing, suspending or closing an account, cancelling transactions or reversing benefits where the rules and law allow, and preserving records to cooperate with legitimate legal requests.

When an account closes, some data is removed or anonymised within a reasonable period. Some records may stay for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, disputes or enforcement. The Privacy Policy is the main reference on personal data, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under privacy or consumer protection law.

Small print

No guarantees, and limits on liability

We work at keeping the site up, secure and useful. Still, it is provided "as available", to the extent the law allows. We don't promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or any social, commercial or personal outcome.

As far as the law permits, we are not responsible for losses caused by third-party services, by other users' content or behaviour, by someone getting into your account because you didn't protect your login, or by events outside our reasonable control. Where the law forbids excluding or limiting liability, nothing here does so.

Links to third-party sites and services, sign-in, payments, analytics, hosting and so on, lead to places with their own terms. We don't control them or vouch for their availability or security.
