The principle
Upload only what's yours to share
People who use camsoda.chat keep the rights to what they lawfully create. What they can't do is post material they have no right to use. Infringing content breaks our terms, and responsibility for it sits with whoever uploaded it.
Your work, our site
Sending a takedown request
Email [email protected]. Put "Copyright" in the subject line so it doesn't sit among general questions. Include:
- who you are, and whether you own the rights or act for the owner;
- what the original work is: a link, or a description precise enough to recognise it;
- exactly where it appears here: the profile, the page address, a display name;
- a short statement that the use isn't authorised by you or the law;
- an email address we can reply to.
A vague notice is slow to act on. "My photos are on your site" with no location means searching blind. Short and specific beats long and general.
What follows
What we can do about it
When a notice checks out, we can remove the content or restrict access to it. Accounts that keep posting other people's material can have features limited, or be suspended or closed. If you believe your own content was taken down by mistake, write to the same address and explain why.
Bear in mind that removing something here does not clear it from search engine caches or copies held elsewhere; those update on their own schedule.
